I actually stumbled on it by accident. One of my drivers asked meto take a look at that website and see what I thought about a truck that he was looking to buy. That K100 was the first truck listed in the inventory, so I was like "wow, that might be fun to play with". For the price, I don't see how I could lose on this one.

Man.. I don't know. Thats ok pay for local work, but chip trailers take a beating. I pulled some good ones and some junk. Breaking a spring wasn't anything out of the norm. But then again they wanted me grossing 120K+. If you put the rated load on there it may hold up better. I've left the mill looking like I had 16 flats before.... :biggrin_2554:

Do I exude cabover nestalga or something? everyone I talk to all of a sudden wants a cabover!! lol of course I probably egg it on. I love cabovers. well as long as you don't have to live in it for a month at a time.

what was your empty weight 379x? they told me they usually average 28 tons per load. I don't see how they could run that heavy around here, the dot works the roads like crazy. they just pull over one after the other. The do more damage here then WI did with there scale houses

Empty weight was 25,000 +/- a few pounds with the daycab 379 and a 45ft peerless.

I'm sure I'd be more with a bunk and all that extra steel I'm carrying around. I have to get that off the truck

I hate to see the bunk go, but getting paid by the ton it would help. I'm half tempted to take the bunk off the truck I'm in myself. On a side note I found a 359 day cab today. Pretty sure he won't part with it though after I found out who owned it.

there is one down the road a ways from me that I have been eyeballing ever since I moved here. Just sitting alongside the guys shop begging to be saved. Looks to be an extended hood with dual air cleaners. They say he won't sell either. I hate when people do that

I live in log truck country. The other day, I was on my way to work and passed what appeared to be an old CRE truck... complete with a full condo sleeper... pulling logs. :biggrin_2556: Now that was weird.

no actually I was just telling you out of general conversation that I was having a hard time understanding what you were posting. I said I wasn't trying to be a jerk I was just mentioning it, and in response I got some jerk off message about that's my problem and you are trying to be a jerk. So ya, if that's how you want to be then fine by me. Ya, I put a mark against your rating because you were being a jerk. Now if that's not how it was and I misunderstood then I'm sorry and I'll give ya a point back but that's how it seemed to me.

I said nothing about your tire post other than I didn't think the landstar discount was that good but I said I'll look into it. Good name tires around these parts are going over $500 a piece mounted so if you know where I can get a set for $1500 I'm all ears.
