What are some of you guys paying yours drivers % wise? This is pullin dump trailer, all locally, with truck gross $3500 average weekly. This summer when things pick up they will gross more. I've got two drivers now one at 30% and one at 27.5% and both get $12/hr when working on truck or trailer. So what would be fair or lets say average pay % wise for these guys?

sounds fair. I see anywhere from 25% to 35% depending on what the gross is.

I won't work for under a grand a week. Just can't live on it.

Doesn't sound bad. I get 25% and no pay for working on the equipment.

hahaha thats about right. The lighter truck is working out ok. Should see a increase in pay being able to haul 3 more tons at a time. Motor is about to come apart though. My guess is a cracked crank. Will be getting a W-9 in a couple of weeks. I may get out all together, I love driving but its starting to kill me. I had a helluva job offer with General Electric the other day. I'm leaning heavy towards it.

Haha its actually working on steam and hydrogen powered generators. They are talking with everything added up, around $1,500-$2,500 a week and benifits. I told him I didn't know shat about them, he said.. its not what you know but who you know. Alot of travel, but the pay is worth it. Atleast I won't be searching for a shower and place to sleep every night!

I figure for that amount of cash, I'll give up driving. Could build a nice truck on the side though and still have some ties to it.
