Cat / Cummins oil pressure

Ive ran a lot of cats and this is my first cummins, When i start the cummins in the cold say 35-40 degrees the oil pressure barely hits 50 at idle now a cat will go to about 80lbs at this temp at idle, is this normal for a 2002-2003 cummins ISX ?

That would be normal. Some run about 60. But 50 is the norm.

now that sounds like a big cam, but I know that isn't what you've been driving. That's just worn out company truck that doesn't get it's oil changed enough

You are correct LOL....Don't ask me why my brain went to full throttle pressure. When the man clearly asked about idle pressure.
