It's woefully low, especially after this past years price inflation. $100 /day... my thoughts!

It's determined by the ever humble IRS...and allegedly covers your expenditures for being away from home. The "allowable" will change according to costs, just probably not when you'd like for it to.

No, I don't think so.

Afterall, they allow you to have as much as you need...even $500 a day. So long as you are willing to keep track of all your receipts.

The allowance is a fair trade in my opinion. Since I rarely spend half of what they give us.
