Things needed to do for changing companies?
I am currently leased onto a company, and I am going to transfer to another one. What are the things I need to do as in calling my bobtail/deadhead insurance company and letting them know and what else?

if you are on the company llicense plate don't tell them untill you are where you can get your new plate or have a temp

Yes you will need to notify your state if the company name appears on your cab card as it does in my state. As for two weeks notice, I agree that it is the best courtesy, but I have seen very few that would let an o/o work out that much notice. You better have a VERY good relationship with them!

Are you kiding? so what's your deal anyways. significate other....16yo...? what is it really because you have some off the wall ideas.

In the real world if you give two weeks that just gives them 2 weeks to cheat you out of something. Usually once a company fins out you are leaving they will just cut you loose. I don't think I ever left a company without them keeping some monies they shouldn't have

Wow, lol Medicine I usually don't pay any attention to the details about someone but yes indeed on the 16 yr old lol. Two weeks notice HAAA you have just gotten to the age of being able to work and you are telling me in a Owner Operators section about the universal and global idea of a common two weeks notice, my my my. Anyhow Medicine is there anything else other then calling my insurance co. and State Issuing Center??
