| O/O for Heartland Express My friend is an o/o for Heartland express and is paid their rate of 95 cents a mile plus a .455 cent fuel surcharge per mile. He does about 2000 miles per week. I am asking the experts to see if he is making money or losing money. His truck is an Intl 9200I 72in midroof sleep with full fairings. He does not have an engine brake or o/d. Please explain this to me please. Hunter

I drive company... so maybe I'm off in left field????

| Well his truck is paid for and he is leased on to them. No he is not doing the lease purchase program. MM, how do they operate? I wish he was leased on to Kenan. If there is anyone that is good, it is them and a couple of others. Huinter

| almost nobody gets nough fsc to pay for all the fuel. it's meant to pay for increasing prices while rates don't go up. Still Heck, even Arnolds FSC was higher then that and I thought theres was miserable. It doen't matter that he doesn't have a truck payment. when your truck is paid off you take ALMOST as much as your payment was and put it in the maintenance fund that you need for an old truck. And even if you never have one breakdown I expect to make more money for not having a truck payment not just to be able to get buy. Heartland is a miserable company. they get higher rates by taking freight that nobody else took and many times there loads are already late when they send them to you. and they don't adjust them fr you so they are just LATE, which means no detention time etc. |

| Thanks for the heads up MM. I told him he should have gone with KAG pulling tankers. Couldn't he have done better than Heartland?

| I don't know anything about KAG. never heard of them. Tanker work is slow like everything else right n. especially if you're in gas or oil. |
