Insurance and Driver Records

I have a Colorado CDL which I have had for 2 years. Prior to that I had a California regular license. My question is when Insurance does a drivers check will they only look at the Colorado license or will they look at California too. The reason is I have a DUI in California about 3 years ago. I am an O/O trying to get insurance.

I am about 90% sure that since the date of issue on your CO Cdl is only two years old, they will ask you for your previous license. That's the bad news, the good news is that if that DUI is a FULL 3 years old, you will be insurable. You may have to look around a bit, but there are insurance carriers that will write that policy, at a premium price of course.
