Join a team or co. driver

I am a new driver and have a friend that is owner operator that wants me to join as a team with him. Any advice? We would split the profits after the bills were paid and I would have to do my own taxes and get my own insurance. I'm trying to decide whether to do this or I have a offer for a company job. Would I be ahead to go with being a company driver to get my experience and benefits? He'd like to corporate down the road, anyone have any info on that? I'm just confused on how to start off my career in driving.

I have to agree get a company job. With the prices of fuel truck payments insurance ect ect you won't have much of a paycheck.

Never mix friends with business
