I haven't seen any good trucks in the 25k range, but I'll keep looking.

Same here, I looked at a 02 KW T800 Cummins ISM 425 just hair shy of 800k miles. They wanted 25k for the darn thing. Unless that motor had a rebuilt, there was no way I was going to give that much for it.

Somehow I knew the Kitty gallery wouldn't appove of that motor choice: biggrin_25516:

I was just trying to show the naysayers that there are options other than a $125k truck. A good start doesn't always mean starting with the first choice.

The only dumb queston is the one you failed to ask.
Just becasue its "legal" doesn't mean it's safe! I know when I need to sleep and when I am safe to drive. Fight the HOS. Write your Congressman.

There is no such thing as a "BACK-HAUL" everything has a start and stop point, If it needs to be moved then it is a load, period. Insurance, tires, fuel,etc... aren't any cheaper heading towards your home than they are going away. BACKHAUL is BS.

I could probably stomach buying that one......................you can bet I would be saving coin for the day that the diptroit blew, cuz it will.

And drop a nice yellow motor in then.

I'm not looking for a "Large Car" look. I am mostly interested in the T600/T800 for Aerodynamics & Interior design. I personally don't like the Volvo's, Freightliner's, etc....
I am looking for 72" and larger sleepers to pull dry vans and reefers. I have no experience with flats/Heavy Haul.

T6, T8 and W9 all have the same cab/sleeper.

If you can find a T6 with a 86" sleeper you will like the layout and room. I don't recall seeing very many 86" sleepers on the T8.
(I just looked in the truckpaper and found 2)

The total mileage is only one of my concerns. I want full ECM reports, Dyno, Repair history, etc........
Some companies don't seem to have or want to share this info. Some of the personal sellers are truly hideous with their honesty. Non-disclosed wrecks, lack of maintenance, chronic problems.................

I know I like the layout of the 86" sleeper, but I can't afford that much right now.......Maybe someday!!
