Looking to get out of the dirt

Hello, I'm kind of new to all this and the trucking business and this kind of fell on my lap. I am determined to make this work, but I don't know where to start at. I have been running a couple of day cabs that are pulling end dumps and double belly dumps here in Las Vegas I have a couple of loyal drivers that are hard workers due to I can not drive because I have job commitments that will not let me as you can see by my user name. Well I'm looking to get out of the dirt business for the time being because it has been so hard and bad lately because of the economy and all . I was thinking of running some flat bed work here in town and to the neighboring states like Utah, California, Arizona, etc. Here is the thing I don't know where to start, where to go to get loads and how? Can I lease my trucks onto a company that would get me loads? Who is the better companies to work for here on the west coast? I know that these are a lot of questions but any answers would be greatly appreciated greatly be appreciated,
