there isn't really any good ones. there used to be a few that included free maintenance and repairs for the length of the lease but not any more.

My credit is shot so I have looked at most of them and tried to see if I could make the numbers work and I just haven't found a good one yet. they are set up to pawn off there old equipment so they dont' take a beating trading it in basicly. and they are more then happy it seems to have you fail and sell it to someone else again. they make allot of money releasing the same truck

They do a Prime on you. They let you drive a worn out truck, tell you you need a new motor, take one out of their truck with 50000000 miles and you have a "NEW" engine to pay for. I know they have done this over the years. Paint can't fix everything.

From what I here the C.R. England deal will bankrupt you the fastest,...allowing you to be put out of your misery very quick....

The rest all sound like a very slow painfull trip to the poor house,,,,,

There are a number of threads on this site about lease purchase experiences. Go to the search tab and you will find plenty of info. I have followed the experience of Steve and Lo at Prime with interest. It takes alot of miles to make the $2800 - $3000 payments so teams probably have the best chance. Imagine the truck I could have if I were crazy enough to take on a 3 grand a month note, one o' them 144 inch bunk Pete's with a 625 - certainly not a base model Century! :biggrin_255:

I have heard that John Christner Trucking has a pretty good deal. Don't know first hand.

Get your lease from a private company. Do not become stuck to any one company, you need the ability to leave with your truck.

    keep dreamin.....

i just quit an outfit with a $400/week truck payment...plus whatever they charge for the crappy trailer, and the incidental stuff....bangborad,chains, straps...you know the little stuff.....plus they rest of the stuff they nickle and dime ya for....

leases are never set for you to suceed...only the compay

payments are cheap, but what if the frieght runs dry? or the load rate falls thru the floor (as it has done recently)....what do you do then?

you cant just say ill make it up next week...hell no they want THIER truck back to lease to the next sucker..and yer stuck owing them lots of money

and no it hasn't happened to me, but many of my friends have gone down this road to hell

I've never owned or leased a truck but I've been around a while and some of these high payments seem a bit out of line to me.

A note on a 4 year old freightliner fld with around 500k miles shouldnt be more than 1000 to 1200 a month I would think. Anything much more than that would make it impossible to bring a decent paycheck home.

I see some of these lease deals talking about close to 600 a week truck payment and that is just unreal. And thats for a basic truck no bells, whistles or none of the owner op specs like you would think a payment like that would have.
