We just got done doing business with Starport Truck Leasing in January 2010. We received our truck in 2007 and with out warning Mike pulled our lease and took our truck back. We only live a few hours away so I was able to pick up my husband. The payments are high and if you get behind on a payment then you will have to make more then one payment a payday. Don't count on high miles either because they are not always there. If you have nothing to lose and no house or family to support then this is the place to get a nice truck but on the other hand it is not worth it. We have lost everything and have no truck to show for it. We paid 975.00 a week for 2 years and they took it back like it was nothing to them. They also do not treat you with respect,I was yelled at and told I have a bad attitude by one of the employees there. I will never step foot in their yard or shop again.

Yeah, after learning more, getting out the ole calculator and pencil, just couldn't come up with numbers that made any money. Guess was star struck, cause man they would put some pretty trucks right there on the interstate to see. Did some checking on Megatrux and they seemed to be a good outfit, but were only hiring teams. So now concentrating my efforts with JCT

They were probably not paying the note on your truck to their creditors and had to give it to the repo man. Sorry to hear about your problems.

Look like they are making more money on leasing trucks to drivers than on freight. And after what happen with Arrow I cant see anyone wanting to lease seeing you have no way of knowing who actually owns the truck and if they are paying for it. If you just want to give you money away please feel free to sent it to me (I accept money orders and cash no personal checks)

And after going to their web site "Truck payment is $875 per week for the '07's, Maintenance is an additional $100 per week. Carriers will handle all of the drivers plates and permits(at what cost to driver?)" And what happens to the $26,000 in Maintenance that you pay in if you dont use it seeing that some repairs should be covered under warranty

And according to their pay scale you will be making around 37 cpm

Their website says their owner operators can expect to clear between $800 to $1200 weekly running 3000 to 3500+ miles. And I am assuming that after thy take out truck payment, maintenance, tags and insurance it dont say anything about taking out for fuel or a fuel card on their site. I wonder do you have to pay for fuel with that $800 to $1200 because if you do you gonna be a couple hundred short

Yeah, you pay for your fuel, everybody they have a deal to lease to has some sort of fuel card, but in the end it comes out of your pocket.
