yes, but some of us need to work ya know!

alright. I booked a load out of Hope, AR going to Springfield MO. 8k lbs. lol full trailer of some super thin expanded plastic forms. going to a power substation. there was only 5 loads within 100 miles of little rock so I booked this one even though it was 105mi deadhead. It paid good though so even with the 24% deadhead it pays just under $2mi gross.
Biggest problem is it looks like it's going to be a hand unload (not by me) at 7am and I have a 7am pickup at royal oaks charcoal in Branson 43k pounds going to san antonio. it can load till 3pm but it has to be in sanantonio by 7am wednesday so the rush is on.
I had a load of auto parts originally going from springfield to GA but it fell through then this agent called me with the TX load. I had seen the load alert for it but was too busy to call on it.
I will probably regret going to san antonio but who cares it paid good too

COnsidering I cant pull a hill with 8k pounds and stay above 50mph tomarrow should be interesting. I had a mis in the engine, probably from sitting so long. I dumped a bunch of lucas in the tanks and it's doing better now. I had to lower my air bags back down. I was 13'8" with the van so my ride height is back where it was before I reset it yesterday.

trucks running good. Trans clunks pretty good when I shift on the low side. It's worrying me but I can baby it for awhile yet.

By my calculations if I can keep booking loads similar to what I have done then this truck will have paid for everything I have into it in less then two weeks

Al, i would say that a 3046C would be a good swap out for you
C model would be nice but then I have to figure out how to mount an air to air aftercooler

Those sound like great loads. Very impressed with what you've found. Maybe there's hope for LS yet??? Bronc needs to find some of those good ones and post some numbers you guys... we're dyin out here!

Yeah you got my number today... got some down time. I turned down my first load today. 530 mile deadhead for a 550 mile load... even I know when to call BS. 92 cents all in if I took it.

These are shorter loads. Most the guys want the long ones and they pay less. We don't post prices too much as it can lead to other companies undercutting runs. WHat I posted is very general and not totally accurate but close enuf for here.

My trucks expenses are $0.70cpm for insurance, maintenance, fuel and an extra Repair fund due to the age of my truck. When I factor in landstars cut my bare minimum gross rate is $1.60mi and that puts about 36cpm into my pocket as wages. anything over that rate is more in my pocket
