| SOOOOO here I sit in Lovely Fairfield TX. got my trailer droped and he gave me an empty right away, unfortunatly said empty was 40 miles away (in the wrong direction) in Mansfield, TX. SO I go get the trailer. FInd a short little load from Fairfield to just west of Austin TX, pays about $3mi unfortunatly it's only 150 miles or so. And doesn't load untill morning because I didn't get here before thier 2pm cutoff. (2:10 when I got here) I had originally had a load out of dallas this afternoon goig to Houston paying like $800 or something rediculas, I forget exactly how much. But betwen me calling on it and then confirming I could pick the fairfield load up later in the day, they gave it to someone else... It unloaded in houson at 8am and I was hoping to run it then bounce back up here for this load even though it was 140mi deadhead, the money was good enough to cover it. Instead I deadheaded about 90 miles and sit untill tomarrow. Not one of my better moments

| well I had lots of deadhead today. and I mean LOTS but my loads paid well and I expect deadhead when I get over by austin. I picked up 6 large plastic water tanks in Fairfield TX this morning. filled the trailer to the back doors and it was 2400lbs. ran it 200 miles to dripping springs TX, unloaded and deadheaded 100 miles to grab a load going 100 miles to Houston. this ones 43k lbs and unfortunatly has a delivery appt for 1400 tomarrow. I'll be over there at ten am though trying to get unloaded. All in all I grossed a little under $800, only burned about 60 gallons of fuel at about $150 plus there was $50 included in the tank load for driver assist, I didn't assist but landstar doesn't get a cut of that money so I get to keep a few extra dollars anyways. Thats riaght around $400 net (after fuel and LS cut) not great but I can deal with it Blue ran good today. Didn't break anything or have to fix anything other then keeping my tire inflated. The truck needs to be greased and I think I'm going to replace the front two u joints. there is a tiny bit of up and down movement in the jaoint at the caps. Not sure if that's my vibration but it's worth a shot. I will likely go home after I unload tomarrow. I couldn't find anything to load on saturday that was worth hauling and I'm not going to sit in this truck 110 miles from home. Oh ya............... If I hit my head on this sleeper rof one more time I'm trading it in on a volvo!

| Well I know a couple good trucks in Texas that are going for less than 25K with less than 500K on them. KH |
