On the other hand, they never have to worry about performance reviews... they get one from every customer. 15% for a food server is sufficient for good and adequate service anything in addition to that is superfluous and I am a rabid over tipper. I've dated too many waitresses and perhaps have a weak spot for them. Other service have other rates... Valets (car and hotel/resort), cleaning personnel, etc.. The only time you should plan on not tipping is if it is an "all inclusive" event; because the tip was planned into the purchase price or a valet service that charges a flat 'tip' rate... if they want to tell me what to 'tip' then I won't argue the point. There is a whole butt load of information on tipping and what is adequate and what isn't. Tipping is a sore spot with a lot of people, if tipping doesn't feel right... then don't put yourself in a position to be served by someone working in a service industry Last edited by rooster1775; 11.18.2009 at 05.38 PM.. |
