Nothing's going for me right now. We hauled corn out of the elevator with one just one truck Mon and Tue, but they've moved as much out as they can right now, hardly have anything left for their own trucks to do. So we're parked until people get back in the field. I greased everything today, fixed a tire with a slow leak, (I must've driven through someone's remodeling project, 2nd little wire nail I've pulled out of a tire in less than a month) and generally tried to stay dry. We've had, I don't know, probably between 2 and 3 inches, and it drizzled all day today. Looking at the radar Mon and Tue, north of us got even heavier rain than that, the IL river was already pretty high, it is probably going to be huge like it was this spring. I expect it will get high enough to stop barge traffic here by sometime this weekend. Which I guess, if no one can get in the field, really won't be that big a deal!

Got home early today, contracts were closing faster than I could snag the last load. Have a funeral to go to tomorrow, so I am just calling it a 3 day weekend. Not sure how next week is going to go either, Holiday and all.

I was wondering if all ethanol plants were as slow as the one up in NE we were running to. We could sit on the scale for upwards of 20 minutes while they took their sweet time running the same tests the elevator took 2 minutes to run. I hated going there.
