In NE, you can go 90,000 with a permit. Ours costs us a dollar a day here. You must stay off interstates with it.

Yes, the smell is different... Get used to it after a while.

    Pharm

Get the demons out of your dash yet?

The only problem I ever had was when exchanged engines. Had to use my old ECM instead of ECM that came with other engine. The engine wouldn't start without old ECM.

No, we'll tackle it tomorrow A.M.

Nothing open on the weekend. Shops really insist you lose a day's work on top of the bill. And, you could take an entire week off and still come out ahead rather than take it to a 24 hour FreightLiner dealership.

Dang, I thought the kansas 24 hour freightliner dealerships were the only bad ones. I thought we were the exception....guess not. What I don't like about the ones around here is they don't take appointments. You don't know when the truck will be done.

Indianapolis,In. Freightliner is the same way. They tell you on the phone there is a 2 hour wait. You take it there in 20 minutes and now there is a 12 hour wait.

    Think I'll stick with Kenworth.

Yes, I've had good luck with kenworth, however they're 50 miles from me. There are some local operated ones that aren't bad.

The locals are about 25 to 30 dollars an hour cheaper. Not as fast to fix but cheaper.

What are the labor rates in your area? They're around 100 an hour in Wichita and 70 in Hutch

Harvest is mostly over around here. The crazy swarm of trucks has left...Locals are happy about that. I don't believe I have every seen that many trucks up here before.

Should give us something to haul the remainder of this year. Hopefully fall harvest is good too. Getting rather dry around here after the last week of 100's and strong winds.

Haven't talked to grain merchant to see what post harvest rates are. Didn't want to get depressed.

I dunno. It's got the extended powertrain warranty on it and nothing else has needed fixing that I couldn't do myself.
