Mobil Delvac. I barely use a quarter gallon in 15,000 miles, but the new engines are alot tighter, too

Big John, Doonan sells a good analysis kit through Foley CAT. I think it's 15 - 20 dollars. I've had good luck with them.

I use the Cat lab in Atl
About 20 bucks a sample
I do the engine every oil change and rears and trans twice a year
I think once you find a lab you like you may want to stick with them to keep the same base line

We use Rotella, change the oil every 12,000, grease every 4000. We do mostly short haul so there is a lot of stopping and starting and are on gravel, dirt, and in clouds of grain dust all the time. I put a Spinner bypass filter on the T-8 back in April and ran the next oil change to 16,000 and sent in a sample to Altorfer CAT. I asked them about oil change intervals, and they said resample at 25,000. I don't feel quite comfortable going that far, but I will probably try 18 or 20K and sample it again to see. Maybe if I'm going to extend the drain interval that much I should be using synthetic, I don't know? I'm not sure how much more synthetic costs, we paid $576 for our last barrell of Rotella 3 months ago.

Wheathauler our company runs synthetic and i think youve got one of our take out motors if i remember right? We change oil filter every 24,000 miles and change the oil every 48,000 miles. Exactly freaking crazy one might say. Were running citgo oil. So far so good i personaly wouldnt want any of our used trucks there rags by 500,000 miles all though weve got some c12s with 780k on them.
