Salina, not sure about Nebraska, Grand Island, North Platte. Wherever the terminals might be.

Were you able to get financing for your trailer? Darn hoppers getting hard to find right now...Without buying a new one. Guess Big John would be pulling one if they had one for him. -
I haven't made practically anything in the last 2 weeks either so I'm not about to chase him down either. Eclipse is still holding 60% of my last settlement from 2 weeks ago, I didn't get any work at all the whole next week, and last week I only got about 4 days of work. I'm really going to get behind here and I really hope there is no unusual freight slowdowns right now because things are hard enough. I get to play catch-up again all month just like my first month. I feel like I haven't accomplished anything since I started now. No funds are built up etc, I'm right at square one again. I don't think I'll ever get my down payments and startup expenses back. Lucky to keep my payments and home bills paid. Right now I've truly purchased myself a job.
I think I'm going to look into leasing on a truck or two and try to build some revenue streams outside of my truck, but again only in cases where it helps out whomever needs it or couldn't run otherwise.wheathauler Thanks this. -
If you lease on trucks make sure to keep the paper work accurate. If they audit you...Your truck needs to be in order but the lease trucks also have to be in order. You will be the one in deep ### if they didn't keep or give you all their records.
One truck is a lot of paperwork. Lease trucks adds a lot more. I went through a IFTA and IRP audit and they were not fun. -

I wouldn't want the headaches of owner operators leased to me, I know how much of a pain I am to work with I don't need any help.
PharmPhail are you pulling a hopper or a end dump? -
I'm dragging a hopper. End dump still holds my interest, but if I end up having to buy my trailer that will settle that.

Speaking of Nebraska, around Sept-Nov last year there was more corn and wheat to move between elevators than they could find trucks to haul it. They had so much coming out of the fields that every day we couldn't run the combine we were running loads from elevator to elevator (10-20 miles.) I don't know if it's worth it for you guys, or if you already know about it, but it's a day's pay guaranteed if there's nothing else to do.
Oh yeah, that was around Grant, NE.PharmPhail and Big John Thank this. -
What's a days pay?
