Hauling wheat is winding down... some corn is being cut. There really isn't a whole lot of corn around here this year. Some dry fertilizer is being hauled for the wheat that is going to be planted.

I see corn all over around here that looks ready but so far still not much being cut. I have been hauling wheat out of a couple places to feed mills last couple of weeks. Since that's Monday thru Friday I hauled a couple transfer loads of rice from mill to mill bout a 125 mile circle today.

Hey can anyone help me out? What is the best lube for the hopper trap door slides that will last for a little longer than a week? Or is that about all a guy can get and have to relube them. I can't stand when I have a trap that is sticky when ya open it. Thanks

Long term wise tough to get them to stay lubed. Heard slip plate paint works but never tried it. If you keep the hopper doors adjusted it helps.

Slip plate works real well. The paint on type is cheaper than the spray on in the long run. Just have to let it dry real good. You can also put it right on top of the traps on the inside, helps the trap slide out from under the product.

    Anything with graphite will help
stay away from petroleum lubes, they'll draw dust and will only make it worse

Been hauling wheat and milo up until week or so ago. Now beans are the hot item... been hauling them fast and furious. Going to start hauling corn to ethanol plant next week.

I've transfered some corn old and new hauled couple loads of beans for a farmer and fought some mechanical issues. So off to a slow start for me

Harvest is winding down at home. Corn is all out, milo to. Most of the rice is out, beans to. Course we always have those stragglers that cut till thanksgiving but for the most part it's all done.
