    any truckers here from oklahoma? im wanting to jump into a truck and hopper and get away from the oil field hot shot that i do now since the work is just not there, any advise on how to get started into this kind work? how to find loads, what kinda pay to expect, what kinda ins coverage and any other helpful info would be appreciated, thanks.

    I'm not from Oklahoma but know a person there that runs hoppers. Look up K & J transportation out of enid ok. He runs hoppers and leases some O/O's at least he did.

    I'm hauling a grain leg out to Scott City KS with the flat. Heard the cutters aren't that far north yet. Wish they were. We cut over that way when I went on harvest.

    Good looking Pete there. its unreal how many New Pete's are in West Tn hauling grain. I see a lot of them about any day I'm around here. That and farmers with new trucks hauling there grain. And anything else when not hauling there own stuff. Some I have never figured out how they can run under the farm tags. But run 500 miles from home.
    Makes me wonder if that is the way to go? Tag truck as Farm and run the wheels off it.
