I'm not a trucker, I need a trucker hauling thru Chicago to pick up a 47' sailboat mast and deliver it to NYC. Only economical if you're already making the trip. Labor to load and unload at each end not your problem. Have about 500$ cash left for transport. Contact here if intersted

Chicago to NYC is 811 miles.

So your willing to pay someone 61 cents per mile to haul your sail boat mast that will take up a whole trailer?

    How generous of you!

The only way your going to get the thing delivered is on a flatbed or a step deck. Most of those trailers are 48' long. Your load is 47' so you will have to come up with some more money to get any one to deliver it or go get it yourself. You'll find that no one will be able to "fit" it on their trailer if they were already making the trip.

It's a couple hundred dollars in tolls in itself...

    $32.00 to cross Indiana
    $40.00 to cross Ohio
    $40.00 to cross the GWB

And depending on any other NY Burrough bridges that need to be crossed.... Look at $30.00 to $60.00 for each bridge. And personally myself... I ain't going to eat the cost of the toll bridges coming out of NYC either. So you can automatically ad that cost into your rate.

Yep... Your looking at a rate somewhere between $1500.00 to $2200.00 to haul your sail boat mast that will occupy the "whole" trailer depending on who your going to get to haul it.

I can go haul it for you... But you will be looking at the $2200 price range.

I would guess that for $500.00 if you find someone making the trip that they would have no problem hauling the sailboat fuel,......:biggrin_25523:

47' is not LTL. It is a full trailer load.

Sure, the mast may be light enough to where it could be put on top of another load, secured, and transported safely. But for the measly $500 offering, it isn't worth the time or effort. It could also cause damage to my current customers freight or to the sail boat mast itsef... $500 is not worth the headache or the hassles involved.
