Melb to Sydney quote

    I own a 12 pallet tautliner which I use for contract work. Mainly local Melb/Vic. A friend has asked if I would like to do a run from Melb to Sydney and obviously return. I've never done interstate before so am not sure what to quote.
    Can anyone tell me what's the estimate if possible.
    The job will be Saturday-Sunday.

    Well you have a few options work out how much fuel you'll use to drive from Melbourne to Sydney then double it i think most freighting companies charge either by weight or kms.

    signa it is a tricky 1 now is 1 way or return loads normaly to do a contract run like your describing you work out cost of running to syd then add wages and proffit margin then its a truck charter but for contract linehaul you charge per kg km then for a 12 pallet truck you will run at a major loss
