Any European drivers in Australia?

    Hello to everyone reading!

    This is my first post here.
    I've been thinking about moving around the world a bit and a place I really like on paper is Australia.
    Does anyone have any experience with migrating to Australia to work as a trucker from Europe?
    Is it possible to work as a trucker with a working holiday visa? I'm eligible for the visa.
    Is there even a shortage of truckers in Australia? From what I've heard the trucker community is aging and new drivers are hard to come by.
    Is it hard to find a job there? I understand that mining companies are constantly looking for drivers.
    Personally I'd prefer long-haul driving. High pay is not a priority, but obviously is nice.
    What about the drivers license? I currently have BCE(truck and trailer) + ADR(dangerous goods) and 2 years of experience as a international driver with a 19m truck and trailer. Mostly Baltic states and Scandinavia.

    Anyway, I'm turning 25 this month. I have a calm attitude. I'm a fast learner. Good physical shape. Good under pressure. And always up for a challenge. No problem in speaking or writing in English.

    So, any tips, advice or just personal experience from someone?

    Bit out of date I came in 89! Idrive b doubles at the moment there are a few issues. Dont think your licence will help. Pretty sure your car licence is cool just n3ed to do the theory part. I retook my hc licence as soon as I arrived (artic). You will be able to do a day test, a non syncro licence is important or else positions will be very limited.
    There is plenty of work. You can get a special visa sorry dont know the name, but you gst a sponser. Try australia house.
    Rates of pay vary a lot and 2 up and changeovers can be a good in. Lots of seasonal agricultural work in the sticks is also an option. If you can do your mc licence straight off again more options, good references are handy but hard to verify in your case.
    There is a co called nolans who were taking on special visa drivers try contacting them.
