Tunnel crash 'not truck driver's fault'

Tunnel crash 'not truck driver's fault'
9/4/08
Sydney Morning Herald, Australia
Quote:
The lawyer for a truck driver charged with killing three people in a fiery pile-up in Melbourne's Burnley Tunnel says some crashes are inevitable and no blame could be attributed.
David Kalwig, 43, was driving a truck with an allegedly unroadworthy trailer, when he slammed into a car, triggering a series of crashes that resulted in the March 2007 inferno.

One thing i will never understand, is why people need to hang blame..

it doesnt help anyone feel better and it certianly doesnt briong the deceased back..

aparatntly tho unroadworthy, the trailer still met the required amount of braking effort..
All because the people that built the tunnel didnt want to spring for emergency lanes
