Peaches Livestock trucking firm closes owing $2m

Australia
9/27/08
Quote:
A HAMILTON-based transport company has gone into receivership with debts of about $2 million.
Peach's Livestock, which employed 13 workers, closed this week after administrators were appointed two weeks ago.
The firm, which started in Macarthur, carted livestock across the south-west to and from sales in Warrnambool and Hamilton.
``The financial state of the company is attributed to the sustained drought period that occurred in the region leading to significant cash-flow difficulties,'' receiver Sam Davies, of Adelaide accounting firm McGrathNichol, said yesterday.
