Drivers on the Hume Highway have been warned police will continue targeting speeding drivers after four B-Doubles were detected speeding in the Southern Highlands overnight - with one truck travelling at more 145kmh.

Between 4.25pm yesterday and 1am today, police from the Mittagong Highway Patrol detected the following:

4.27pm – A 33-year-old man from South Morang in Victoria was fined $243 and lost three demerit points when his B-Double was detected travelling at 123kmh in a 100kmh area of the Hume Highway at Penrose.

11.20pm – A 36-year-old male driver from Allawah in Sydney’s south was fined $324 and lost three demerit points for exceeding the speed limit by more than 15kmh when his B-Double was detected travelling at 134kmh in a 100kmh area of the Hume Hwy at Catherine Hill.
