Hmmmm

It appears to me that you are the rude one. You made a post tearing down Averitt drivers and accusing us of doing something are equipment isn't capable of doing. That is UNLESS we are loaded heavy and falling off a hill. Don't come into a string of posts making rude statements and false accusations and not expect someone to defend themselves and the company they work for.

In your last message you obviously are trying to deflect from the fact YOU made an unprofessional statement out of the blue about something you obviously know nothing about. Most of my fellow workers at Averitt are some of the nicest guys I've ever known. Unfortunately, not everyone that works there is like that. That is anywhere you go no matter what company.

Last thing, I don't need your advice regarding how I should post here because you were the one acting out of line. Now what company do you work for? But don't worry, I won't judge your entire company and all your co-workers based on your actions alone. That would be stereotyping and I am not that small minded.

Please refer to my sig line.

Your posts towards me have been far ruder (if that is a word) than what I've made about you. All I did is post what I've personally seen. Nothing more, nothing less. And you can't handle that. Not my problem.
For example, I have not called you a liar, but you have called me one repeatedly.

As for watching for drivers from my company, don't worry you'll never see us. We never leave the beautiful state of Montana. And MOST of the time never even leave town. Now aint that nice for us?

Enjoy whizzing into the wind, this is my last post on the matter.

I think it's gotten better over the past couple of years. But I used to get cut-off a lot by Averitt drivers and seen them driving erratically. Hasn't happened in recent memory.

Some of them are some non-backing individuals. I used to deliver to Smyrna TN. Nissan plant if I remember right. Just about everytime I was down there I saw one of them back into someone's trailer while trying to hit the docks. Easy docks to hit at that.

I'm starting with Averitt in a few days. How is the company and is anyone from C1 Trucking also starting soon?

I got interested in Averitt after talking to a few of their drivers and moving freight to their dist. centers. They just seem like a well run, first class organization. They also have a lot of non-driving jobs available.

My perceptions were validated after speaking with them. They ran my DAC/MVR while I was on the phone, no baloney of waiting until you get to orientation. With that out of the way I was passed along to a 2nd individual who conducted an in depth (at least for trucking companies) telephone interview. After that I received a call back that I was hired contingent (isn't that always the case) upon my providing proof of self-employment.

Next we decided on an orientation date. She casually stated that Averitt will FLY me to Nashville and that their shuttle will pick me up and take me to Cookesville. No Greyhound!!

To keep their image:

1. Averitt Uniforms are to be worn.
2. No beards, well trimmed mustache is OK.
3. Hair is to be neat, and cannot be over the collar (so far this is like the dress code at my Catholic High School!)
4. No visible tattoos.
5. No bolts through the lips, nose, eyebrows, etc.

I like this, because it attracts a better group of drivers, which in turn makes a better company.

There are a lot of drivers out there looking like Ted Kaczynski. At the worst it sends me the signal that if they don't care about themselves, how can they care about their job, customers, freight, or equipment. At the best, it tells me they work for a company that is running them so ragged that they don't have time to sh&*, shower, shave, or shop for presentable clothes!

I think I am going to switch to averitt.

Cookeville.....If you're gonna be an Averitt driver, you gotta get the location right. C o o k e v i l l e, TN is their world headquarters. They pretty much own this town. We'll keep the light on.

WEll, If having a beard affects your ability to drive then I'd shave it. I've had one since 1970s and won't shave for anyone. That is such nonsense.
I would'nt hire someone w/o a beard. I quit PHI helicopters 5 min. after they hired me because they said "Oh,You'll have to shave".
