Started last week for BN, hoping I made the right choice. After orientation, I felt alittle better about the company. I was at my old company for almost 2 years. The trucks were older, high miles, and constantly in for repairs. Insurance for my wife and I was 150. a week, 600. a month, terrible. Miles would be good one week and the next would be low. I know that there is no perfect company, but I felt I had to change and this company had what I wanted. The band pay seems to be a plus, insurance is going to be over half what I paid before. Trucks being traded in at 500,000 miles, all seems to be good. I was given a 07 with 437,000 miles on it so hopefully, will get traded in 6 months or so. Finished orientation on Thursday, I was the only one. Started out on Friday with a load from Iowa to Illinois for Saturday and then was routed to my home to get my things set up in my truck. Had a load assigned to me before I got home for Monday, from Wi. to Iowa, and before I delivered it I had a reload from Iowa to N.C. I like the fast reloads, so you dont have to wait around, hopefully this will stay that way. So far going well, just have to get used to shifting again, had automatic in my last truck, and the new qualcomm, things are sent in alittle different. Sure everything will fall in place. So far so good, will update. I will be doing the OTR from Wisconsin. Anyone have anything they can tell me about this company? Thanks.

Well, so far so good. First week, kept me moving with shorter runs, band pay helps, did over 2700 miles. This week little slower because going home for the weekend. Getting used to the changes, back to 10-speeds and the qualcomm, nice not having to stop to read messages. So it's Friday, waiting for a load to head me back to my home, we will see how long I have to wait. Otherwise I have not waited for a reload, always had one before I delivered. Will keep you updated. Have a good day.

My dispatcher is Mike, nice guy. I have been running alot of Iowa to Nebraska and took a trip to North Carolina. I am on hometime and when I leave on Monday I pick up a load right here in my hometown and deliver to Detroit MI on Tuesday. Has anyone ever faxed their paperwork from home? I read you can and will try this weekend since I have my own fax machine. It will be conveinent if I can. So far with week 2 I should have about 2200, would be more if not on hometime. So far, I feel made the right choice with this company, no complaints. Keep looking for other drivers to talk to fom this company but never seem to run into them. Will keep you posted. Have a great weekend!

Just wait till the "honeymoon" is over. The bloom from the Barr Nunn flower fades very quickly.

BikerDon How's it goin?

So far, after been here a month, it's going alright. Only thing I do not like is I like running during the day, and they are having me run at night. After I run at night they seem to wake me during my break. I have a hard enough time sleeping during the day and then get woke up, wasn't a happy camper. But all and all the paychecks are better with the band pay. We'll see how the next few months go, hopefully will run more days than nights. Barr-Nunn is still better, than the old company I was driving for. But, there is no perfect company.
