I use to work at barr-nunn. So I can only tell u what I know about. Although I have weekly conversations with another driver that has worked there for more than 5 years. The orientation will prob be typical. But going into the lease purchase it could be different. So idk about picking ur truck. But if I was doing a lease,I would demand I had a handful of trucks to choose from. From what I know they have quite a few trucks for lease so... I ran regional and they got me home every weekend, real good about that. They are pretty strict on logs. Miles will depend on how long u stay out. For 5 days I was getting around 2200. The fuel,I wouldn't know how that would work for sure on a lease. Keep us updated how things go. Good Luck!!

Ok here it is as a company driver that's what I am....miles vary on the area that u are in...I usually don't get less than 2000 a week... Just a couple weeks ago I ran 3900...from what I hear from lease drivers they are doing ok around $1000 a week after every thing taken out for the truck....now remember they are not taking taxes out that is ur responsibility... Barr nunn does not want the truck back so u will do ok from what I hear as long as u can keep ur expenses down. They will tell u about exsesive idleing I was at a terminal and heard a driver being counseled about it. As far as I know they want u to fuel where they tell u but it is up to u. If u fuel in network u get the discount if u go out of network u pay more. And I think u get to pick ur truck provided they have more than one ready. Barr nunn is what u make of it. U will here guys complain about the company. I have complained on here many times but I still work here have been here for 2 hears now so I guess that says something for them, right? And they are very strict about logs and staying on the route they want u to stay on.... Meaning stay off the toll roads unless u are approved. If u ride the toll road and they routed u different u will not be reimbursed they tolls.... Basically just watch ur expenses and cut cost and u will be fine. Freight is picking up
in certain areas. We have new accounts. Oh and I don't have anything to complain of as of righ now with them.

Good post bigman. On the lease side however u might wanna consider paying the tolls. This is one disagreement I always had with Barr-Nunn's new routing. They will run u thru the woods across ohio and indiana on state routes,on a route that can be as much as 80+ miles longer with 100 or more stop lights. If i was an o/o,i would run the toll road. To drive over an hour longer and stopping at lights, money wise it could be cheaper for an o/o to pay the tolls and get the better mpg's.

It's roughly 30,000 to 40,000 miles. I know for the company drivers can not go anywhere but a barr-nunn shop. But I'm sure if u r paying u can go else where
