| I agree !!!!!! My husband started there in Jan and has just quit and he has been driving for 25 years. They took the sign on bonus they had paid him out of his last check and sent a letter saying he still owed them $340. I would like to see them get that !!!! |

| running good.... Till its time to go home I have to say I've been here now 6 weeks or so. It seems to me if you stay out 3 weeks or better you can make money here. I've been home 3 times now and there is no freight in the Northeast for this Company. I've come home a day earlier then planned and come out a day late so I get 4 days off instead of 2 when I come in. Its ok for me if I stay out 3 weeks. I'll have to set my availablity one day earlier so I can leave on the day I want to, with the off chance that they may actually have a load on the day I make myself available. I'll also have to ask what is the heaviest day so I can plan my home time accordingly. When I'm out though I'm running miles. My miles have been legal and over all, I'm happy. when I see I may emty out late Friday or over the weekend I get with my dispatcher to make sure I have a load to get me through the weekend. If there is no freight there is no freight, not much can be done about that. Due to the escalating cost of fuel, they've asked us what we thought about setting the trucks to 62. This may happen, but I don't know what fuel has to get to before they do it. They've also changed their layover policy to 34 hours off before you get a layover compared to 24 hours, and bumped it from $60 to $80. Picking a company is based on needs. If you want to be home every weekend or you live in the Northeast don't come to work here. If you want to run 3-4 weeks at a time this company is ideal. As a company with less than 1000 trucks though, sometimes its not always possible to have a load for the weekend depending on were you wind up Friday. But if you ran 3000 miles Monday to Friday does it really matter? Not to the guy that is running weeks at a time. But it does matter to the guy going home because to get home you are trading the profitable load most times for the load that gets you home. I've been running 60mph and getting close to 7.1mpg. I'm wondering if they notice things like this and are running out drivers with low mpg's. In closing I know it's has only been 6 weeks, but I don't have that pit in my stomach I had with Heartland almost from day 1. I don't consider my self a job hopper and I couldn't last 6 months with Heartland before enough was enough.

| Still Happy Well It's been over 2 months I've been here now. They have released drivers living in the upstate New York area. The cost of fuel dictated that it wasn't profitable to have employees living in this area. Barr Nunn does not have the right freight to get those drivers home with a deadhead under 100 miles. I've also talked my way into a salary position which is great. My dispatcher was a mumbler but we worked through that as we became more comfortable with each other. He for the most part ran me pretty good. I would recommend this company if you live near Columbus or Charlotte. Especially Charlotte. Alot of loads pass through this city. If you live in the Northeast, I would look at other options first. If you check the polls on this site for Barr Nunn you will find that a few drivers thought well of Barr Nunn. I again state that if you want to make good money here you would have to run 19 days out then take a full weekend off. If you want home every weekend it is an average check.

| Glad to see you got a desk job with such a worthless company. Did they inform you that you'll have to take lying 101 to secure the position. You've got to learn to be untruthful to the drivers like all the others or your not going to fit in. I wish you all the success on your road to lying, deceiving others for this lousy company. "O" by the way, I spent 30 days at a time out with this company and still did not make good money. Guess your well on your way to becoming an outstanding dispatcher with these lier's. |

| Sorry to hear that Quote:
I can tell you that I'm ranked in the top 2% for fuel economy. My 30 day rolling average was 6.91mpg. I also couldn't make money on the 2 weeks out program and parleyed my mpg into a salary Northeast position. I think they are trying to weed out the bad apples. Were you a bad apple? I also noticed your 13 posts are mostly about how bad Barr Nunn is. Do you have anthing else to add to this forum other than how to unplug the qualcom?

| Partner, if all you can post is the amount of M.P.G.'s you got running for this lousy company, then you have no argument to post. I could care less about how many miles per gallon you achieved running for BARR-NUNN. But, to add fuel to your statement, I achieved a 7.2 M.P.G. with the company and still could not make any money with them. No, I wasn't a bad apple, i just wanted to make a good or decent paycheck for the amount of work I performed for the company and no lie's. It would appear you have accomplished getting a job with them polishing a chair with your butt, just remember you've got to pass effective lie/deceit 101 in order to hold onto that position. By the way, I have not posted to this site 13 or 14 times. You need to learn how to count before you take that desk position. |

| I little reminder to keep the discussion civil. This thread is very close to turning into a mud-slinging contest which will get it locked/closed. Or possibly some of the members posting infrations for insulting another member. I am sure none of you want either of the things mentioned to happen. Thanks yall |

the reason I ask is I'm curious how they went about letting loose those drivers.
