| Biodiesel & Alternative Fuels Forum This is a forum to discuss bio-diesel and other kinds of alternative fuels. We think bio-diesel is the next revolution as Hydrogen costs too much to make and putting food (Ethanol) in your tank is not feasible and will cause food prices to skyrocket. What say you on bio-diesel? Should we start this bio-diesel revolution and kick it into high gear? |

| Nuclear trucks Hi, Everybody is going to think I have completely lost my mind, but has it been proposed to make trucks nuclear? I know it sounds like an idiot talking but the submarines are nuclear. I am willing to bet there is a way to make it so that the material can not be stolen. I have to note that I don't know the first thing about nuclear physics. But I do know it doesn't take near as much nuclear material to run a truck as it would liquid fuel. Another option with the battery idea of the other posts is to charge the battery by solar energy. It may not be perfect but he energy is right there. Maybe the trailers can have panels on top and be connected to the truck by the same type of hoses that provide power to the trailer now. Or maybe like passenger trains use the power of the loco to power the cars. I'm not a driver yet, so a truck's anatomy isn't my specialty.

| Yeah I thought that would come up. That's funny though. HAHA! It could pose a little bit of danger.

| Alright! Cool idea. Through a beer can and some beer and banana peel in and go. That would make it work like the time machine. ![]()

| A nuclear truck would essentially be steam-powered. The weight of all that water to use as reaction mass would make the cargo-hauling capacity of the truck so small as to be worthless. Nuclear powered trains, on the other hand, could be viable. |
