Important Truckers Forum Notice!

Biodiesel & Alternative Fuels Forum This is a forum to discuss bio-diesel and other kinds of alternative fuels. We think bio-diesel is the next revolution as Hydrogen costs too much to make and putting food (Ethanol) in your tank is not feasible and will cause food prices to skyrocket. What say you on bio-diesel? Should we start this bio-diesel revolution and kick it into high gear?

That's just such a disgusting thought! (But then, greasy burgers always upset my tummy, without them being used grease!)

Stinkin mess!!!

My fiancé started making biodiesel a few months ago for his pick up. I must admit, I never thought I would be going into restaurants asking for their used oil and fishing it out of their 55 gallon drums. We're fortunate that we are able to get oil for free, but some restaurants are catching on and asking for $$. The biodiesel has helped out with gas $$ over the last few months, but damn what a stinkin mess it is! We probably won't be making much once we hit the road. We have looked into an automatic processor, but for $17k... Not so much!

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.

There's another source of free fuel waiting to be taken away, if you know where to get it. The downside is, your rig smells like a burnt-up transmission.
