Important Truckers Forum Notice!

Biodiesel & Alternative Fuels Forum This is a forum to discuss bio-diesel and other kinds of alternative fuels. We think bio-diesel is the next revolution as Hydrogen costs too much to make and putting food (Ethanol) in your tank is not feasible and will cause food prices to skyrocket. What say you on bio-diesel? Should we start this bio-diesel revolution and kick it into high gear?

Need advice if anyone can help

Had two trucks running on HHO in our fleet. My truck had several thousand miles on it before we felt comfortable enough to address a second truck. The second truck is an older model and is not EGR regulated; however, it encountered electrical issues with wiring to the ECM which postponed the gathering of data from HHO on that vehicle.

Now my truck , which is EGR, has developed fuel injector problems. I believe that this is due inpart to the location at which the HHO is delivered (on the positive pressure side of the turbo). This location presents issues with back pressure of up to 32psi. Not the best idea since HHO tends to revert back to water especially when compressed. Hence the loss of my #1 injector. Nevertheless, I've still been able to produce sustained increases in my mileage, and I desire to reinstall the HHO on the opposite side.

Negative pressure installation would be much simpilier to manage, and some of you have indicated that, that is exactly where your's is installed (on the turbo intake side). However, the shop is not yet convinced that harm will come to the turbo if the HHO is drawn through it. My question for those of you with HHO on your big rig is this...Is your truck EGR and have you seen and/or had problems with your turbo or the vanes therein.

At this point, I'm only running HHO on my personnel vehicles (camry and ranger), but I really want to get back to work on the Truck. Please share any insights you may have from your own experiences so that I may be able to lobby the big man to let me continue.

Thanks,

Violation.

Violation - Are you doing any mods to the ecm via sensor inputs or are you just using HHO?

Yes, on the older non-EGR truck,we have tweaked the ECM mods and have found gains of an extra mile per gallon; however, the truck does tend to run hotter when we try to push it. On the newer truck (mine) we only have the HHO. I've seen gains from it of 5.7 up to 7.2 mpg loaded (40,000).

Plasma Spark Ignition

Im not sure exactly what you are going to do with the plasma spark but if you are going to use it like I imagine then I think you will have some success. I have read (key word being read not seen) of a couple different methods of using plasma to get ignition of H20

Oh, if you want to see plasma sparks in action....Just search in this blog for the plasma spark thread started by Golden Equity. There are many videos of this in action both in a lab environment and in actual cars.

I know for a fact that my project will work, but what I'm curious to see is how much it will react. Basically how loud will it get??? I just need another battery to pull it off. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to pull the one out of my pickup truck for the test.
