Biodiesel & Alternative Fuels Forum This is a forum to discuss bio-diesel and other kinds of alternative fuels. We think bio-diesel is the next revolution as Hydrogen costs too much to make and putting food (Ethanol) in your tank is not feasible and will cause food prices to skyrocket. What say you on bio-diesel? Should we start this bio-diesel revolution and kick it into high gear?

We would have a lot more water for HHO and to drink if there were no illegals. There are way to many of them in Vegas and else where drinking our water and using our fuel. This is putting American's and their children at risk.

I recall watching illegals putting in lawns in Vegas. Now illegals are taking them out.

$12000! WOW for that price you would sure hope that it could add more than 5%.

Hopefully as technology gets better that price will go down and performance will go up.

I've seen my Loaded miles increase from 5mpg to 7mpg (40,000 in box), and my empty miles have gone from 6.2mpg up to 8.75mpg.

I will say that the quality of the gas being produced really determines the results you get. Quality, referring to the moisture content of the gas being produced. The drier the better, and that is the most important secret of all that no one talks about for sustained fuel efficiency.
Loaded: 7-5=2 2/5= 40% increase mpg
Dry: 8.75-6.2=2.55 2.55/6.2= 41% increase mpg
Diesel # $4.50 X 40%= $1.80 saved per gallon
Your paying the equivalent of $2.70/gallon now
nice

water # $1 per liter 1 liter water = 1800 liters of hho gas
it's not even worth calculating how much it's costing you in water...who cares?

How many miles are you trucking in a month?

I put in an average of 3200 miles per week. So roughly 12,800 per month.

Wannadrive, $12000 is just insane. I've built my own system and actually came up with 4 different versions for use. Currently 2 of them are running on big trucks and the other two are on passenger vehicles. I don't think I've got a total of $1500 in the whole ball of wax.

Any regular "Joe" can do this without much effort. That's the beauty of it all....!

I've been reading along with this and I'm glad you guys ran with the conversation. I did alot of reading/watching videos before I posted the original post, and I have to admit, I've been playing around with building one myself. (SS is a pain to try and drill a hole thru..lol) In a couple of discussions about the problem of rust, several people suggested using Cream of Tarter instead of the baking soda. They all seemed to agree it was a better option.

I did have a couple of concerns, though. With the temp at which this gas burns, long term, could we not be talking serious engine damage? Maybe you could explain?

Where did you get the plans or are you just inclined to this kind of stuff? I have found a few things on the internet (books) for $97. E-bay has a system for $150.

The eninge temperature wont change unless you send less fuel using a MAP/MAF tuner. Which you will lean the engine BUT!!!!!! By doing this u will make fuel burn hotter.

You MAY be better off making them, if you have the tools. It's very simple. Have a power supply from your truck. Have 2 SS (stainless stee 316 gradel)plates, have wires that , 1 postive and one negative. One wire touches postive and other touch negative.

Make sure you don't have plates or wires touch each other. Postive and negative wires touch. Have plates close together. Wire to use should be stranded better to connect. Copper corrodes very easily. My suggestion would to us silicone or black liquid electric tape.

When you do that add distiller water only. Reason is no minerals in water so a lot less corrosion. Add baking soda (electroyte) however you spell it.

That should be it.
