Important Truckers Forum Notice!

Biodiesel & Alternative Fuels Forum This is a forum to discuss bio-diesel and other kinds of alternative fuels. We think bio-diesel is the next revolution as Hydrogen costs too much to make and putting food (Ethanol) in your tank is not feasible and will cause food prices to skyrocket. What say you on bio-diesel? Should we start this bio-diesel revolution and kick it into high gear?

1400 miles to Missouri and back to Indiana. Yielded 44mpg at 78mph and 35mpg at 85mph with four passengers and fully loaded with luggage. Very happy with plates being +NNN- on Camry. By the way, fuel was 2.07 per gallon in Missouri....Wow.

Something in your electrolyte broke down and was ionized.

I gave up trying to read this whole thread, but just wanted to add that my kiwi partner has an '87 Volvo station wagon that has a simple hydrogen fuel cell added on, that he made. He put an on/off switch on the dash so the battery doesn't get drained if the car isn't running. Now, the odometer on this old beast stopped at 189,000 K's, and there have probably been 20,000 or more k's added to it since. It runs like a champ, and I can't tell you facts and figures since the odometer stopped, but, with petrol now down to $1.73 a liter, every little bit helps. The only comparison we can make is that the mileage is better than our flatmate's newer Honda Civic. (Yes, we know the Honda's tank is smaller, so would empty faster.) The only comparison we can make is number of trips to and from the nearest town and how many liters we each have used in our cars. Not in the least scientific, but the flatmate wants one on her car! (I'm in New Zealand, we live in the sticks and there is one main way to get to the nearest town, so we are traveling the same roads.)

Like I said, not one bit scientific, but the fuel cell does seem to make a difference. I can see the gas guage go down faster when I leave the cell off, which is rare.(Usually because I forgot to turn it on). But there isn't a lot invested in it, and it seems to work, so what the heck, why not have it on there. Doesn't seem to hurt anything.

No, no oxygen sensor modification. Just made sure that HHO was ported in front of resistors on the air intake. Mileage before the Cell was added to the Camry was 25-28 on the highway and 20-23 for in-town driving. This is an 2002 4cylinder Toyota. Very common car.

I don't know why you got the green color, but I too tried the Cream of tartar tip from Acer, and while it did work it wasn't as reactive as the Baking soda so I switched back to regain my production loss.

Any presence of a green/blue coloring; however, in any chemical reaction is an indication of the presence of copper. Are you using copper terminals? If so, then that would explain it.

What about freezing???? Anyone???

I'm currently testing concentration amounts of baking soda to prevent freezing, but does anyone have any suggestions otherwise.

I don't think it will freeze. Has it froze up on you yet? Baking soda is like salt / sodium. It should be fine until a certain temperature.

Hey violation, is your water clear using baking soda?
