Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Biodiesel & Alternative Fuels Forum This is a forum to discuss bio-diesel and other kinds of alternative fuels. We think bio-diesel is the next revolution as Hydrogen costs too much to make and putting food (Ethanol) in your tank is not feasible and will cause food prices to skyrocket. What say you on bio-diesel? Should we start this bio-diesel revolution and kick it into high gear?

The hazmat designation for tunnels is an excellent point, however.

Diesel does have a flashpoint but it's much lower. Around -145°.
There would have to be redsign in the fuel tanks to make them safe I'm sure. It's a good step thou since alot of NG is just burned off when it could be used in other places. I don't think that the fuel you burn comes under the HAZMAT rules since it's not part of the load. As far as Reid having stock or ownership in NG it would have to be in another state besides NV. I know of only one refinery and that is very small.
