How many free miles do you drive and what can you do about it?

I’m sitting here in a small Mom and Pop truck stop in Northern New York for the next 34 hours as mandated by the DOT. I decided to research my previous week’s miles and hours and came to a startling conclusion. I had driven 3400 miles in the last six and a half days but only 3000 were miles that I would be paid for.

Hello Truckers I'm back again. I need some advice. I got my CDLs license in 2010 of September before that I failed my DOT test my first week of school but I completed ASAP program and got my CDLs I'm having a hard time with any company because of the fail test what can I do where should I look? I have no experience because I have not drove for anyone

We've all seen the ignorant/disrespectful drivers who block the fuel lines at the truck stops. These are the guys who are parked at the pump and there's nobody in front of them at the pull-up line.

Ok ...Single no commitments ..you have been driving for a year ... solid driving record etc and you enjoy OTR.--- Hypothetical question.. Tanker job is available ( all companies are in your area ... close to the house for down time if a load comes back your area .. .though if on the road and do a reset in California one weekend or Oregon ,, the next ..(get the point) is not going to upset you...

In late January I woke up at a QuickTrip truck stop in Adairsville, GA, just about 1 mile away from I-75 off exit 306. I had a 1 PM live load scheduled but was getting bored sitting around since the night before. So I decided I'd call the shipper to see if I could get loaded earlier. She said "Sure, drive on over, no promises, but we should be able to fit you in."

I've taken a few hard falls while out on the road. Really hard falls. And it's a miracle I haven't gotten really hurt. In fact, I've hardly gotten hurt at all.
