  1. Schneider - Miles of Smiles

by , 02.03.2012 at 11.13 PM (Blank Blog)
I give up. Can't take any more. My head is about to asplode and my eyeballs fly all over the place!

My wife sold crap out the garage and made more than I did.

I make my pick up this morning. The shipping lady tells me that they recently moved these orders to this facility, so this is only her second BOL to fill out..... And of course she's having a Lil trouble, but it all comes out.

I get to Pontiac, MI and the guard informs me I'm in the wrong place, ...
  2. Schneider - Another Day, Another 50 Miles

by , 02.02.2012 at 09.58 PM (Blank Blog)
Literally. I finally got two loads. I go in for some coffee before leaving. They're out, so I wait for more. Then I hit the road knowing I've got just enough time left on my clock for P/U, depending on how long it takes them to load me. Then wonder if I can find a parking spot for the night.

As I pull onto the road I notice my clock says "11 hours to drive." Huh? Apparently I sat "off duty" for ten hours and four minutes. The time it took me to wait on that coffee ...
  3. Schneider - Show Me The Way

by , 02.02.2012 at 12.41 PM (Blank Blog)
Remember the movie "Jaws"? On the boat, the shark hunters had their bonding moment and sang "Show me the way to go home. I'm tired and I wanna go to bed. I had a drink about an hour ago and it went straight to my head."

I get up this morning hoping to see an assignment. Nay. Nay. So I finish up and leave heading to the T-n-A. Miss the turn. Apparently they feel that if you miss the turn then you have to pay a stupid tax and buy even more fuel. Next turn around, ...
  4. Schneider - Dun and Duner

I've had it. I'm done. At least need a break. Too much b.s. for now. Hardly moved at all past several days and when I do, it's the wrong direction.

While I'm getting loaded this morning my DBL calls and asks where I am and why. Ha ha ha ha. Serious? I'm in Kankakee getting loaded as we speak. Ok.
He sees that on my list. Everything is messed up again. When can I be here and there? He puts me on hold a few minutes. Comes back a moment later and says he's gonna update this ...

  6. Schneider - Slow the Roll

by , 02.01.2012 at 12.18 AM (Blank Blog)
Well the past few days have been pretty jacked up and definitely not worth my time away from my family.

Last night I had to sleep at the shipper's lot because, due to the delay in finding an MT, I arrived three hours after shipping went home.

Made delivery. Sat at the Pilot for about 8 hours. Sent five different messages to my DBL, each on a different concern. Copy/pasted them again before he went home. Never heard from him.

Then was hit with two loads ...
  7. The use of a CMV for personal, do you need a Post Trip

    by , 01.31.2012 at 11.38 AM
When you are going to use your CMV for personal use, please understand that you must be free from any work liability. If you are Off-Duty, per DOT definition, you may use your CMV as long as the CMV is not laden or loaded, and such time should be logged as Off-Duty. Understand this, if you are pulling a trailer, chances are the DOT officer will try to suggest you should be On-Duty or Driving, but even if you are pulling a trailer and are 100% relived from work, and your wagon is not loaded, with ...
