While in training my TE warned me against updating logs at the end of my shift because of fatigue, it's too easy to make a mistake. This rings true for sending mac 18's as well.
I made delivery in Muskogee, OK and sent my mac 18 indicating my availability. I ran to Wal-Mart for some items then on to Pilot to TransFlo. At 7:15 I ran out of HOS and went on to bed.
Sometime in the afternoon my DBL called and asked what I was doing. He asked if I picked up my load before bed.
