What "Independence Day" In America Means To Me
My grandpa fought in 2 wars, won a Purple Heart twice.
My granma was a member of the Ladies' Auxilliary, and of the Purple Heart ladies.

My step-dad was a private during Vietnam.

I attended both funerals. Military burial, 21-gun salute, and I lost it when that folded flag was placed in mommy's arms.

That being said, I now am the VERY PROUD step-mom of another ...

As my day ends, and I slip into our bunk
And I lay here, in the dark, listening to the wheels whine on the pavement
While hubby's drive time has barely begun

I think, and I feel

I hear Glenn Beck, Hannity, and Fox news, just barely through the speakers

I feel every bump, pot-hole, and crater in the road

I jiggle and wiggle, with all of my body fat, across and through them all...
I feel my bladder swell, and my hot flashes ...

Been off for a week, had a GREAT time!!

We have been off the truck for a week.
Stayed in Columbus, OH to celebrate my grand-daughters FIRST BIRTHDAY!!

We have had such a wonderful time, but, alas, it is time to get back to work. ***sigh***
