http://www.lufkindailynews.com/hp/content/news/stories/2009/04/10/stonebridge.html Cyber poster this in the news section...but I wanted to have a reference here on the blog as well. Here is why. Stonebridge got a lot of its freight from a Broker called, "COPESTONE LOGISTICS". Drivers, avoid this broker. I was PERSONALLY promised that I would be paid, and have not been. This broker does a great deal of work with TABs out of Stafford, Tx. TABs is a bulk US Mail ...
Stonebridge Management Corporation, decided to go ahead and make a weeks worth of payroll last Thursday (they still owe me for 2 more, $2500+), I was smart and went DIRECTLY to their bank and cashed it. Others were not so smart and either deposited it, or cashed it at the check casher place. Both were bad ideas as the account did not have the money to clear the payroll. Handcuffs anyone? Well, that was just part of this weeks good news. The "Judge" Larry Hyden had led us ...
Stonebridge Management Corp, Houston, Tx 30 Drivers....all waiting their checks. Payroll was suppose to be done on Friday, and they missed that. Was promised to be done by today, and that did not happen. Now what. In my case, the last day was Friday. Most of the other drivers were let go the previous Friday. Labor law says they have to settle up within 6 days. Again, this has not happened. Payments on equipment were 90 days behind, repairs at over 120. We ...
Well, what a change. I, along with 30 other drivers are now all out of a job. As of now, we are also out of our paychecks. Yesterday, I finaled my load, then the truck got taken by the repo man, AND, our checks never got issued. As of now, I am owed for 3 weeks. We were busy. Never a slow down. Trucks were rolling and the freight was good. SOMEBODY decided to no longer pay for the trucks and trailers, or pay the rent. They covered fuel and payroll to keep us from knowing anything. ...

Owners gave 13 trucks and trailers back to the finance company and laid off 13 drivers, and just about the entire office staff, and closed the office and docks. The move slashes $50K a month off the top of the costs. Going to be a small home based business now with 12 trucks. We will now be picking up and delivering all our own freight. Not a ...

Shortly after the tragic September 11, 2001 attacks, a flag that had flown over the Texas State Capitol during that time was gifted to Chris Heisler by the Texas House of Representatives. Like many Americans, Heisler felt compelled to take action during a horrific time for the United States and with this flag in tow, he set out for Ground Zero. Along the way, Heisler helped to organize and be part of one of the longest police motorcades in the history of the United States bound for Ground Zero bringing ...
