Your endo should be doing something about the diabetes. Don't know if your a driver or not, but I just found out recently that if you're a driver your endo is the one who will have to fill out your dot physical form if you become insulin dependant. Just thought you should know before the nightmare on that end begins.

My ex wife had surgery to repair a version of this two years ago. Her bladder, uterus and all the other girly parts were falling down...not out mind you , but it was bad for her. She ended up with a hysterectomy (SP) and has never been the same since. ie, no sex drive, has a hard time going to the bathroom (in both ways) and has muscle spasms when we did have sex.
Not a good thing.

I have a friend that I was lucky enough to go out for about 2 months straight. I loved it so much I went and got my cdl, and start driving myself in a month....It is such an awesome feeling of freedom and power driving one the these...I love it
