The blog of blah. Ought to be called "Blahg." I discuss my experiences from CDL school on into driving, random crap annnnd..... other random crap. Or nothing. Either way.
I've been dead in the water for over 24 hrs now. Strange how things work. I had a load for Sunday morning to Houston. Support calls me and asks if I mind switching to Round Rock because the driver on that run doesn't have enough hours. It delivers earlier than mine. Ok. So here I set ever since. I updated my time a couple different times hoping it would come back to their attention. I sent in a message to which I got no response. I understand, it's a holiday weekend ...
Today I was called in to the OC for a Safe Track assessment that was supposed to be done months ago. Ergo, I was shut down for the day waiting on class (or whatever you call it.) The instructor went over log violations with me, not logging feuling (which had already been discussed with me,) some incident that occurred recently where a load shift had caused product to fall from the back of my trailer when we opened the door; someone entered it as "logged off duty during accident." ...
Earlier in the week my DBL was on vacation. You know how it is when someone tries to do someone else's job? Yeah. The lady filling in screwed up. Someone changed my NAT (Next Available Time) to four a.m. the next day. So I scored a whole other day off. Glad they are switching me to salary. Now they killed another Friday off because my DBL forgot a long time ago to sign me up for some safety class. So instead of being home right now, I sit in Dallas waiting class time. He's followed ...
OTRA is joining forces with other organizations to improve the lives of American, English speaking truckers all over the nation.... even in Hawaii, but we are suspect of them. OTRA has come to realize that "CDL Protector" pre-paid legal services is a scam derived to drain truckers of their Iron Skillet dollars and OTRA will no longer put up with it. Using the federal government's own NAFTA legislation against them we will obtain diplomatic immunity for our constituents. This ...
This being election season one can't help but notice the eye pollution that is plaguing the roadways: a barrage of campaign signs. I have noticed two types of signs for the most part: "name - party (Republican) - and office" and the other reads "name - office." It seems to me that candidates who are "other than Republican" appear to be ashamed of their party affiliation and refuse to put it on their ads in hopes that they will get elected on the idea that ...
What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing when you get home? I mean besides spanking the spouse and loving on the kids; what do you enjoy? Allow me five and a half minutes to share with you MY passion: photo/video editing. In THIS case- RockStar Games' hit "Red Dead Redemption" produced to Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" from the "Young Guns Two" soundtrack. Things, for the most part, have rolled well and not much interesting to say. Hence; my absence. Typically, when I dream about work it's almost always the same thing: I have taken off driving and realized my 10 was not over yet so quickly must find another place to stop before my QualComm logs me driving and violating HOS. Of course I wake up in a panic and have to look around to make sure I didn't really drive. Recently I was graced with ...
