  1. Schneider - Not Goin Anywhere

I thought I had posted on here last night. Doesn't look like it though. But I was so tired I kept zoning out. Figured when I kept bouncing my head on the keyboard I should probably go on to bed.
Now that I think about it.... I had typed out a blog. I vaguely remember bits of it. Apparently I failed to post it. Hmmm.... maybe that's a good thing.

So yesterday I bring my truck into the OC. I walk into the shop and start screaming and cussing and throwing things about..... ...

WOO-HOO! Gonna git down to 77 degrees tonight! I feel a party in the making! BRing on the LOT Lizzz..... ehhh n/m.... too hot and tired for all that crap... Meh.

I've been goin in and out of the Pilot to cool off. Last time I went in I attempted to get a Mt. Dew Icee. But all the machines had been so used that they were freezing up. What lil bit I did score the manager just let me have. I got what I paid for; it kinda tasted like Nyquil. ...

  3. Schneider - In the Hot Seat

by , 06.26.2012 at 06.27 AM (Blank Blog)
My DBL informed me we now have to abide by the P/U window on our list. I asked if the load planners or customer sets that. Customer. I called BS on that on count that it will waste 2-3 hours of my day because I will deliver that long ahead of delivery window; I'll spend that much time waiting. He agreed and said he was fighting on that account.

However; last night I'll have to give a slight pass, begrudgingly. The trailer I picked up had two faulty lights. (Thanks, guy who dropped ...

  4. Schneider - So it Continues

by , 06.22.2012 at 09.55 PM (Blank Blog)
A few days ago it came over the QualComm that another customer is being placed into the quasi-dedicated area of service like what I am doing now. Two things about the notice really stood out to me:
    1) From Corsicana, TX (maybe 100 mi SE of Dallas on I-45) to Houston area.
    2) Pay is mileage based.

I guess that's gonna be a total rookie run. And I mean total rookie; right out the egg. I'm only about nine months in and I wouldn't take a crap line like that. Corsicana to Houston ...
  5. Schneider - A PM a Quarter....

With more time to kill, enter my PhotoShop drawing room....
I got ready to ease on over to the OC this morning to sign in for my quarterly PM. As I stepped out the truck I found a large puddle of oil running out from under my truck and down the lot. That's a bit disconcerting. But my dipstick showed full.

I mentioned it to the mechanics. They said, "Well, it's a weird thing, but a teaspoon of oil can make a large puddle. We'll check it out."

    So now I sit ...

  6. Schneider - A Tyme 2 Kill

by , 06.20.2012 at 11.47 PM (Blank Blog)
Thought I was doing all the good today. And I guess in a way I was... did... whatever.

Periodically, on the way down to Hutto (about eight miles east of Round Rock, 20 miles or so north of Austin) we kept hearing reports of a major accident on 35 that had all southbound shut down and most of northbound. Drivers were warning, "Take the toll road! It's worth it!"

After making my drop in Hutto I checked my next assignment. Just as I figured it would be, East 6th ...
  7. The Indomitable JSBS

by , 06.18.2012 at 04.33 PM (Blank Blog)
Around midnight thirty I was getting settled back into the truck. Knowing the chances of a quick response from support shift, I go ahead and dial their number whilst I get ready to roll. Then I take off. About thirty minutes later it rings through then goes back on hold. After fifty minutes I get the same girl I recently had the displeasure to speak with whom informed me we could not conduct our business while I parked on the shoulder.

I tell her what I'm calling for, our three some ...
