I saw a prime example today proving once more that no matter how much legislation is passed you can't make people comply with the law. All you can do is punish them if you catch them. About 11:30 a.m., west Houston, I-10 eastbound, a paramedic driving an ambulance (non emergency) and texting. He was probably on his way to a school function to warn of the dangers of texting and driving and had to check in with his boss on his ETA. That's understandable.
While at the Canton, TX First Monday Trade Days this past weekend my parents scored a purportedly authentic NASCAR Schneider National pit crew shirt. Comes complete with grease stains across the shoulder blades. Said the vendor was wouldn't budge on the price one cent.
Lately things have been pretty good; considering I have been completely upside down on my days. I have been taking off before midnight which puts me ending my day in the afternoon. It's cool because I have no problems getting decent parking nor waiting for a shower. But it sure throws me off because it's a highly irregular bedtime. I look at another nice side if it though, when I hit the road again, I get to open a parking spot for someone else needing to get some rest. ...
