This morn I scaled and fueled; went in to grab coffee. On my way in I noticed a couple of buses in the fuel isle; very sharp, sleek, shiny black buses.

Inside I see a group of guys wondering around grabbing snacks and souvenirs. They're dressed in dark clothes, covered in tattoos and piercings.

At the counter I ask one if he's with a band. He looks around and says, "Uh... I'M not in a band."

Dear Fellow Motorist,

Last night, while you slept soundly in your own bed, I drove for eleven hours non-stop. Then I slept in my "office" in a strange parking lot. As soon as I awoke, I drove another eleven hours.

I prayed some cop wasn't bored and pull me over for an inspection "just cause he can;" which would delay my arrival by at least an hour.

I didn't get to kiss my wife and kids "good-night" because I was 2,000 miles away ...

I ain't written for a spell, mainly cuz nothing much interesting to say. Makes me feel kinda bad. Seems upon reflection, if I don't have a complaint.... Well, I guess no news is good news. Our I just ain't been up to it.

LaSt week I got started late in the day, so it made most of my days upside down; hard to adjust to. Makes it even harder to find the end if my shift at 4 a.m. and try to get a decent parking spot, or ANY parking. But, thank the Good Lord I managed.

YES, I did get home this weekend, as promised. Had a very confusing work assignment, but I made it. (dang this is nice to do on PC rather than Evo.)

I actually was able to get HOME for my 10 hr break between 3:30-4 this morning. The delay was because of repairs needed that I reported on earlier.
Then I finished up and came back to the house.

Nonetheless, I was NOT on a hard deadline, so ...

I called Wal-Mart and got a drop number myself yesterday. That went well and much faster than dealing with support. I got in and out in a couple hours.

Boogied on north to my next drop. Man they really spread them truck stops out here in Florida. After I dropped I was going thru my guide and it was 30 miles this way or 45 that. So I just eased on down the road expecting to find a wal-mart. I was into Gainesville before I found a place to stop.

From there, decided heck ...

Not a lot to report. Made a good trip and good time. I rolled non stop from from Mathews, MO to Dallas. Saw several Hi-Po on the road in AR and TX.

As I got about five miles from the OC there were several cops on the shoulder of the bridge. A couple of cars parked. A lady sitting on the ground crying. It didn't look like a wreck. There was a guy looking over the side, so it made me wonder if we had a jumper into the river.

I dare not take a chance with Schneider, so ...
