Well, another fabulous pre-Monday! It all was going so well until I got into the truck. I called in for my gratuitous 3- some phone call over how important this load/customer is, blah, blah. However; the system was down again. So I told the shift clerk that I know the schpeal, yes I know how the load works and yes I have plenty of time. If he'd just jot that down in his handy-dandy Blue's Clues NotePad and add that in when the system is working again, I'd just be ever so grateful and will hunt him ...
While in training my TE warned me against updating logs at the end of my shift because of fatigue, it's too easy to make a mistake. This rings true for sending mac 18's as well. I made delivery in Muskogee, OK and sent my mac 18 indicating my availability. I ran to Wal-Mart for some items then on to Pilot to TransFlo. At 7:15 I ran out of HOS and went on to bed. Sometime in the afternoon my DBL called and asked what I was doing. He asked if I picked up my load before bed. ...
