Well, another fabulous pre-Monday! It all was going so well until I got into the truck. I called in for my gratuitous 3- some phone call over how important this load/customer is, blah, blah. However; the system was down again. So I told the shift clerk that I know the schpeal, yes I know how the load works and yes I have plenty of time. If he'd just jot that down in his handy-dandy Blue's Clues NotePad and add that in when the system is working again, I'd just be ever so grateful and will hunt him ...
It was nice to score a couple days off. Even got to see my first born off to her first prom. Before that, I checked in on the truck to see if they had dispatched my work assignment. All I had was an email telling me to call in for a three way service chat (just some BS read off a script for EVERY single one of these loads.) I replied I did not yet have an assignment to go ...
I dunno what to think. The "Dedicated" run I was offered was understood to be a trial to see how this new run would work out, but getting everyone on the same page is a great task indeed when you have so many hands on one project. A company as large as Schneider appears to have far too many people with power to make assignments and changes. Right Hand? Meet Left Hand. Yall shake and get to know each other. Work on your communication skills and let each other know what's going ...
