  1. Publishing and Nightmares

Man it's been a while since I've been on the Report. I quit posting mainly because I felt I had nothing new to say. Then some other things began to really occupy my mind.

My DBL was on vacation last week, so everything is pretty jacked up. My entire routine gone to #&$@:-&:!$ Where I was hitting the house every other night, now I've only made the weekend. That's a tough turn. Repeatedly I would call in and ask what's going on, "what we NORMALLY do is this...... Can we ...

by , 07.19.2012 at 03.36 PM (Blank Blog)
Recently I was tormented by the new Amazing Spiderman - 3D by director Marc Webb. Here is my review. (warning: contains spoilers/cynicism)

First, the theater: Flix Brewhouse in Round Rock, Texas. A pretty neat place. Tip one: Before the movie starts they will take your food order. If you would like to eat your meal during the movie then wait until the movie starts. Otherwise; they will bring it on out and you will have most of it gone ...
  3. Schneider - How Cool

by , 07.02.2012 at 07.25 PM (Blank Blog)
YES! The A/C is finer than frog's hair now (compressor went out.) I be chillin'. Thank God I'm salary.

I've taken a new job. I took it last night. I am now a professional "Nay Sayer." What with all the friggin bums at the Flying J in Baytown beggin for cash or the opportunity to shine my wheels. I've become very proficient at going, "NAY.... Nay I say!" A couple guys wanted to shine my wheels. I told one I just had it washed (yay.) "So what? You don't want your ...
  4. Schneider - I dunno

by , 06.04.2012 at 11.11 PM (Blank Blog)
I dunno what to say. Ef it?

I didn't get in until Friday sometime. They had me another assignment heading out Saturday night/Sunday morn. I called my DBL and asked him WTF, wife is feeling jilted cause they've had me running like crazy and days jacked up lately. He said, "I didn't do that. I'll get with the load planner and see about switching you off a day so you can be home another day."

Didn't happen. I even messaged him a bit later asking about a status update ...
  5. Legislating Compliance

by , 05.09.2012 at 07.53 PM (Blank Blog)
I saw a prime example today proving once more that no matter how much legislation is passed you can't make people comply with the law. All you can do is punish them if you catch them.

About 11:30 a.m., west Houston, I-10 eastbound, a paramedic driving an ambulance (non emergency) and texting.

He was probably on his way to a school function to warn of the dangers of texting and driving and had to check in with his boss on his ETA. That's understandable.
  6. Schneider - Happy Monday, Yall!

by , 04.16.2012 at 09.33 PM (Blank Blog)
I've got some new pix of the tornado damage. I'll add them in at the bottom.

Today was a hurried day. I woke dark & early in Huntsville and boogied back to Dallas to make my drop and get my truck back.

Turns out there's more to that self serve p/u than I thought. I apparently got the wrong bill. I checked in at seven and he tells me I have an 11 appointment. What? Yeah, this bill is for 11. So I had to call and get them to change it so I could mosey on.

  7. Schneider - Totally Dedicated..... Sorta.....

by , 04.09.2012 at 09.35 PM (Blank Blog)
Friday my DBL called me to let me know I would be starting the dedicated account. He informed me I am required to be available five days a week (ok) and that I would be salaried (nice.)

As we had discussed before, this is a brand new gig, so we'll just see how this works out. Not a problem. I'm game to work it out. It seems to accomplish all our desires; I get a predictable schedule/paycheck, increased home time, they get an important account promptly serviced. Win/win, right. ...
